THE ROLE: Senior Planner - Corporate Planning

We’re looking for…

We are looking for a Sr. Planner of Corporate Planning to spearhead the development of our Financial Plans and monthly forecasting, ensuring they align with the company's objectives. In this role, you'll provide detailed forecasting and analysis to support both pre-season and in-season management, driving top-line sales and bottom-line profitability. You'll work closely with the VP of Planning to streamline the budget and in-season OTB process and actively participate in strategic initiatives within merchandising.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Thinking
    • Develop and manage the annual budget and monthly forecasts by channel, aligning sales and margin projections with merchandising strategies to ensure financial plans effectively support overall business objectives.
    • Directly responsible for inventory flow and receipt forecasting to support the FC team with the operational capacity and ensure seamless coordination between supply chain, finance and fulfillment teams.

    • Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends and new business opportunity recommendations to the Merchandise Planning and Buying Team, contributing to effective decision-making and the overall success of the merchandise planning strategies.
    • Evaluate financial performance and operational metrics, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Results Driven
    • Lead and implement process improvements and identify opportunities for enhanced tools to drive planning efficiency and accuracy.
    • Lead ad hoc financial and strategic analysis to evaluate business initiatives
  • Leadership
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the planning team and cross-functionally.
    • Actively participate in self-development.
    • Develop a planning team with strong ability to identify and articulate short- and long-term strategies supported by sound financial plans.
    • Build trust and drive engagement across RGG Organization and support company decisions.
  • Communication
    • Build and foster effective relationships and collaborate closely with Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Programing and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Merchandising strategies to support overall business objectives.
    • Influence decisions within the Planning team and cross-functionally.
    • Possess solid presentation skills and the ability to build sound business cases.

  • 5+ years of experience in merchandise/financial planning, with at least 2-years’ experience in leadership roles
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or other quantitative field preferred.
  • E-commerce, Off Price and Multi brand retail experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.

Expected Base Salary Range: $95,000-$110,000

Rue Gilt Groupe is committed to providing Associates with equal pay for equal work and carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, certification(s), license(s), skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
