THE ROLE: Continuous Improvement Manager

We’re looking for…

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence by identifying, developing, and implementing process improvement across the organization. This person will work with warehouse and cross-functional teams in problem-solving initiatives, apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and business performance. This position is ONSITE at our fulfillment center in Shepherdsville, KY.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and standardization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve inefficiencies.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of cost saving initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and process mapping exercises.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement engaging associates at all levels.
  • Report on project progress, outcomes, cost saving initiatives, and recommendations to Senior Leadership and VP of Operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies and best practices in process improvement.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to implement performance enhancing technologies and cost saving supply alternatives.
  • Monitor and maintain consumable supply levels through daily tracking, inventory counts, and weekly purchasing to prevent any supply gaps.
  • Create and maintain continuous improvement training materials and curriculum to enable on-going development of internal capability in application of these materials
  • Document and monitor business processes, business rules, metrics and standard operating procedures as a result of improvement initiatives
  • As needed, partner with Managers/Supervisors to establish corrective action plans to ensure that department meets objectives
  • Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and shifts
  • Work closely with support staff (HR, EHS/Facilities/LP Manager, IT/WMS Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and work rules.
  • Manage and promote the maintenance of the working environment including driving health and safety standards across your operational area
  • Ensure security procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain a complete management overview and thorough understanding of inventory in a multi-product automated environment
  • Achieve inventory accuracy targets
  • Implements change and/or develops new processes as required to provide ability to better direct ship multiple products to multiple locations and geographies
  • Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all work processes, available daily labor and daily production goals and hourly progress towards these goals
  • Improve quality and eliminate errors and improve units per hour productivity.
  • Manage and report metrics daily
  • Lead 5s and lean initiatives across all departments

    • BS/BA Degree required.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green belt certification is a plus but not required.
    • Proven experience in a continuous improvement or process optimization role.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
    • Data analysis and process mapping tools experience.
    • Min 7 years of high volume, fast paced distribution and/or fulfillment operations experience required.
    • Recognized success in improving quality, service and productivity within an operational environment.
    • Experience working in a team oriented, multi-shift environment.
    • Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills required.
    • Exceptional project management skills with a strong execution mindset and a history of successful delivery.
    • Competencies in MS Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
    • Manhattan WMS experience is highly preferred.
